Key Updates This Month
Enhanced Flexible Rent Score Model We updated our Flexible Rent Score with 30 new attributes that better capture historical renter behavior including:
- missed_rent_payments_count_past_xd – detect missed payments
- rent_payment_consistency_past_xd – track consistency over time
- rent_to_income_ratio_past_xd – assess affordability
- overdraft_fee_1d_before_rent_payment_count_past_xd – catch financial stress right before rent
Expanded Transaction Categories Our transaction enrichment now includes five new specialized tags to detect more granular spending insights:
- Charity - Donations and charitable contributions
- Education - Tuition and education-related expenses
- EV Charging - Electric vehicle charging transactions
- Payroll Tax - Business payroll tax payments
- Marketplace - Online marketplace purchases
Improved Transaction Tag Ranking When a transaction falls under multiple categories, Pave now prioritizes the most financially meaningful tag. This ensures consistent and accurate labeling across your dataset.
For example: If a transaction is labeled as both "Repayment" and "Transfer," and "Repayment" is considered more financially significant, it will be ranked higher and selected as the primary tag. This prevents less relevant tags from overriding more critical ones, making downstream analytics and scoring more precise.
These updates reflect our ongoing commitment to helping lenders understand their customers' financial behaviors more deeply and make more informed credit decisions. Check out our full changelog for additional technical details and implementation guidance.
